bruddah waltah

Bruddah Waltah is known by many as “the God Father of Hawaiian Reggae.” A legend in the Hawaiʻi music scene, Bruddah Waltah has been making music for decades. Inspired by the music of Bob Marley, Bruddah Waltah is one of the first Hawaiian musicians to take Reggae music from Jamaica and perform it in a “Hawaiian style,” which many have come to call “Jawaiian.” Linking up with Ryan Hiraoka back in 2011, the duo have been making music ever since.

pōkiʻi

Pōkiʻi is a Reggae musician who sings in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi. A founding member of the group ʻAi Pōhaku and current member of the group Ooklah the Moc, Pōkiʻi is branching off into a solo career. Teaming up with the drum and bass combo of grammy award winner Kamakoa Lindsey-Asing and Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Ryan Hiraoka, Pōkiʻi is about to drop some heavy Reggae music with much manaʻo from the Hawaiian perspective.

The Brown Boys

The Brown Boys are a vintage sounding island contemporary band with a modern twist. Lead vocalist Karl Kinsman drives the band with his heartfelt lyrics and steady acoustic guitar. Aleki Maave is a self taught virtuoso ukulele player who compliments the music perfectly. The cherry on top is the golden voice of Damon Williams whose unmatched harmonies set this group apart from any other group in the genre. Add to that percussion by grammy award winner Kamakoa Lindsey-Asing and bass by Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Ryan Hiraoka, you have one of Hawaiʻi’s premier island contemporary groups.

kamakoa lindsey-Asing

Kamakoa Lindsey-Asing is a Grammy award winning music producer and an influential figure in the Hawaiian music community. Half of the production duo “Kamakoa & Ryan,” Kamakoa has been the man behind the music for decades.
